Managing the AMASS File System

Change Slot Assignment
To change the home storage slot number for volume number 15
from slot 0A02 to 0A56 in library number 1, perform the
following steps:
Step 1. Log in as either amass or root.
Step 2. Outlet volume number 15 as shown in the following
example.
Use voloutlet for SCSI-attached storage devices
and bulkoutlet for network-attached storage
devices.
volumenumber Enter the unique volume number
slot Enter a home storage slot where you want
the media to reside
Valid slot entries are:
• 4-alphanumeric designation (0A12) =
SCSI-attached storage device
• n/a = standalone drive
• NET = network-attached storage device.
Enter the barcode as the next parameter.
jukeboxnumber
(defaults to 1)
Enter the library number where the
specified volume resides
